Goodbye... Dollhouse

Yes, just when I'm starting to catch season 2, Dollhouse was canceled. I did not catch season 1 because at that time, I did not know what kind of show was that, and I was skeptical. All I know was that the lead actress (Eliza Dushku) was from Dark Angel, and I never watch that show too. But, putting my skepticism aside, I decided to give season 2's episode 1 a try, and boy was i hook! I really like the story about actives, how these people was 'imprinted' with different personalities and how the big corporation has a sinister evil plan, right down to the actors and actress playing them.

The last episode was really a continuation of the last episode of season 1. How the little girl was actually an active, how she manages to bluff the rest of the survivals, and killed them, and how the dad was just a decoy. But luckily, one of the last remaining survival was smart enough to notice that the girl had told them her dad's name wrongly, as her dad's name was already carved onto him, before he became an active. Pardon me if I'm always writing this girl, that guy, because I'm really bad at remembering names.

Anyway, I was really shock that Joss Whedon had killed off Ballard so... how should I say, easily? Its just a headshot by the enemy when he was trying to calm a girl down... Poor Ballard, I was hoping he and Echo can be together. Oh a small trivia, there's a song called 'Echo' by a girl group called, 'Girl Cant Catch', cheesy but kind of catchy too... lol.

So in the end, Ballard just died on the streets, leaving Echo to vent her anger at Sierra. But I must admit, I really like the actors and actress playing Sierra and Victor. I especially like when Victor was imprinted with Topher's memory, because the way he behave and the way he talks, really 100% looks like the real Topher! Not to mention that his voice really sounds like him. And then there's the real Topher, who is really a genius, who was actually the mastermind and brain behind all these magnificent gadgets and technology advancement. It will be very scary if there is really someone like Topher out in our world. Oh wait, I think we do have...

The way Topher speaks is really cute. And how he is always scared and admired Adelle.
Adelle, who appears to be an ice queen, very cold and impartial, was actually the mother hen in the end, who took care of Topher when he's gone a bit psycho, and help the rest of the actives to escape. And the shocking truth that Boyd was actually one of the founders of Rossum Corp. Who would have known... And the last part where we saw him holding a grenade and smile faintly at Echo was really sad! Almost make me forget all the bad things that he have done. Was kinda creepy when he told Echo that he likes her, and for Echo to tell him that he loves him, WEIRD. I wonder what happen to the Asian assistant of Topher's...

Oh, and there was the first active, Alpha, who became really funny and cute in the last episode. The actor playing Alpha is really a good actor, too bad no one really notice him. I remember seeing him in another tv show, 'V', and he was killed off after only 3 or 4 episodes... sad.

Well, I guess all I can do is to watch re-runs, or wait for another show that can be just as good as it, stay tuned...
