Happy CNY 2013!

Happy Lunar New Year to everyone out there! =)

Yup, it's me... I'm back!
Haha just here to post what has happened to me for this whole new year.

Celebrated New Year with Z and his mum. Saw the fireworks right at his window! Who knew that there would be fireworks at a neighbourhood? We had a delicious meal courtesy of Z's mum :)
So we just spent the entire day having a Resident Evil Movie Marathon! Haha that's right, from the first movie right up to the lastest one with Bai Bing Bing in it! Er... can't remember that is the number what movie for Resident Evil, but we had fun watching them. At least there is action and horror and some funny zombie scenes here and there :)

It was fun... but too bad he had to go back a few days later :(
Oh well, he will be graduating soon anyway :)

January was quite an unproductive month, the only thing worth mentioning is that I spent an entire Saturday at Vivo City to get all my CNY new clothes with QW! YES, you saw it right! Just one day and I got myself, three T-shirts, one shorts and one long pants! ;) Very happy at our fast and efficient way of buying what we want.. but the wallet and my bank account wasn't really happy though -.-
Nonetheless, after the very tired and long shopping spree, we went and have a good dinner, Yoshinoya -.- After that we went for another round of shopping, not for us but for our friend, WM, who came after his work.. so of course must not let him have a wasted trip ;) After some persuasion and walking around, WM finally managed to buy A LOT of clothes.. lol

Okay so we were getting hungry, so we went back to our place's Mac and have supper. Everything was good, until they have to go and talk about politics -.- Things always almost never went well when you talk about politics... sigh

And then there is my workplace, so long already still no bonus or increase in my salary? sigh...

So CNY came, I was so HAPPY about it! On Saturday, CNY eve, I woke up with a smile on my face, watched cartoon, have my late brunch while I wait for my mum and sis to come home from work, and then we can have steamboat together :) I dunno about the rest of you, but my family only have steamboat during CNY eve, that is why it is so special to me. They say CNY cannot do housework mah, so I just do my office work. YES, I still have to work on a Saturday -.- albeit from home. So evening came and my mum and sis came back (yay!). Then we prepared all the ingredients for steamboat, although the food is not a lot, still its the mood and the person we eat with that is the most important, for that day. After the steamboat, I had to mop and sweep the floor -.-
Well at least my sis bothered to help wash the dishes (which she only does it like our steamboat, once every year -.-), but seriously, I think she only took ten mins or less washing the dishes, I don't even know if they were clean or not -..-
Anyway, after all the cleaning and washing, we just sat around in front of the TV and watch our shows. We stayed up till like 3am.

For the first day of CNY, the relatives from my mum's side were coming over to visit us, so I did not wear any new clothes -.- just some simple clothes that cover what should be covered =p
One of my uncle came earlier than expected, they came while I was still showering... lol
Before that, we wanted to order Pizza so that when our relatives are here, we can eat something. But who knew my computer had to throw tantrum, on the first day! WTF!!! So yeah no choice but to use my tablet to look at menu while we ordered it online. Surprisingly, the order came on time and was not wrong... haha But my 2nd uncle came so late that everybody was staving and the food had became cold -.- In the end when they came (thank god!), we were all ready to eat. But us being the host, have to make sure that my guests have their fill before we ate, and boy were they so hungry that the pizazz wasn't enough at all! So my sis, mum and I had to starve until they went off -.-
Haha but I am very happy that I get to meet my aunts, uncles and cousins =)
The only regret I had was that I was too shy and did not go and talk to my cousins more... oh well, there is always next year ;)

Then the second day of CNY, we had to go to my youngest aunt of my father's side, who moved so many times and this year, they moved to a condo -.- Nice condo but when it rained, the front of the life landing actually got ponding -.- We have to jumped over the 'pond', thank god for my standing board jump skill, can't say the same for my mum and sis :p Oh the best part of meeting my relatives from my father's side is that my aunts are very good cook! They always prepare the most delicious food for all of us. Like fried 年糕, steamboat, my cousins first time making pineapple tart (which was very good!), 车仔面 (mixed with my aunt's special recipe chilli and fried onion... OMG!) and of course the food that I suddenly wanna eat during CNY, 盆菜! Haha I ate so many rounds that I think my tummy is starting to show a bit of growing outwards.... nah :P
Yeah I know I should take a few pics of the delicious food instead of just describing them in words, but I was too busy eating and too lazy to take out my smartphone.. so yeah... but don't worry, my cousin took some good pics :p
Again, so happy to meet my relatives, had so much fun and laughter and not forgetting ang paos too, my newly wed cousin giving out ang pao for the first time.... hehe many more years to come :p

I think the only thing that is constant for these past three days is... Rain, Rain and more rain -_-

It just rain everyday, every time around noon and always non stop after that. But it still did not dampen our mood of celebrating CNY... I miss my grandparents, and of course my dad too...
